This is probably premature, but I thought it was necessary to express my great appreciation for the SOLE F63 treadmill. As a long time treadmill owner and business traveler, I have used several brands. I have owned machines made by Pro-Form, NordicTrack, and now Sole, and I must say, hands down, Sole treadmills are the best residential and most affordable products on the market. My last NordicTrack (c1800s) was put to rest on the 5th year anniversary due to the weld on the frame breaking. Over the years, it took quite a beating, but I never would have expected the frame to break the way it did. [...] Now, if I had $3,000 of disposable income, I might have considered a commercial grade treadmill that you can buy in a fitness retail store, however, I needed to be realistic here. So, after reading on-line reviews, blogs, etc. I decided to go check out Sole’s products lineup. I was immediately impressed with the quality, and more importantly the warranty of the product. It has a solid base and platform, runs super quiet, and offers me the features I need. The craftsmanship alone was an award winner. [...] they still use the same “cheap” design of 3-welds per frame connection, leaving plenty of room for future breakage, even on their mid-grade machines. So, due to my happiness and excitement, for taking the time to think, and shop, and not being impulsive, I can rest peacefully, and say to myself “yes, I made a good deal.” Go get yourself a Sole treadmill, they are pure quality, and you will not be disappointed.

Bought the F63 in November 2007. Worked great for 5 months but has been nothing but trouble since. First the control board needed to be replaced, now the motor is bad. Today is day 69 that my F63 has been broken and waiting for service. Sole is very slow to respond to fixing my machine.[*]

I would definitely not recommend this machine. First, the front cowling that protects the motor is too close to the treading area. This means that you frequently step on this plastic cover as you try to tread. [...] I had a problem with the folding mechanism at the outset. [...]

I bought this treadmill so I could give up my gym membership. I've had it for about 6 months, and it's worked great so far. I run 4-5 times a week, 3-4 miles each time. It's a little noisy and it shakes enough that I can't read while I run, but otherwise, it's pretty solid, easy to use, and has enough variety on the control panel to make it interesting.

I did a lot of research and it was between this unit and a Smooth fitness unit. This unit won out because I was able to go in the store and get it alot faster. I even took the time to go into one of the retail outlets that sell the non-folding treadmills that sell for 5K and for home use this unit came highly recommended by the salesman. This product was easy to set up once you get the parts situated and once assembled it folds very easily. I live in a condo and the treadmill is "huenormous" in my place, size should be a top consideration when looking at these. One of the things that they don't tell you at the store is that these treadmills should not be place in areas with heavily padded carpet padding. I didn't see this until I was at the end of the manual and the treadmill was already put together. I have 8lb padding and the treadmill leaves huge impressions in the carpet. I got the sliders that you can use to move furniture on the carpet and placed them under the pressure points of the treadmill when I am not using it and they seem to work well. I use this treadmill for running and it is very sturdy and works just as well as the ones built for the gym. It is even easier on my joints than the ones in the gym. Overall it is a good buy

I lift weights and sprint in between sets. I was very disappointed to find out that once you hit pause it will reset after 5 minutes. It takes a long time to get up to speed and a long time to stop. If I could return it, I would.

We bought this treadmill about 3 months ago. I researched treadmills for months. I didn't want to pay over [$], so this treadmill was the buy for the money; it also had the best reviews in this class. It is very study, great controls, alot of programs to chose from. You can increase the incline with a press of a button. The treadmill is pretty quiet. It also comes with a cord that you can plug in your iPod. The speakers are surprising good quality. You can turn it up pretty loud and they are crisp and clear.The only cons: it took alittle over 2 hours to put together and if you want to pick it up at the store, make sure you have a large SUV or pick up truck and a few people to help, VERY heavy. Those are the only cons I have found to date. I would highly recommend this treadmill.

I have had the F 63 for several weeks now. So far I am very pleased with the operation of this treadmill. I use it every day to help me build stamina and to increase my lung capacity. Since I am 66 years old, and found myself going downhill. So far, just in a few weeks I have noticed a great difference. And I am very happy with the sole treadmill so far, I think it is a great machine.

This is a great treadmill. For the price you cannot beat it. It's easy-to-use, very quiet, the fans are a plus and the design looks great. My husband likes to use the controls on the handles but I prefer to use them on the main console. It is just a great treadmill at a great price.

I am in the same boat as the fellow from MD. I've had the unit for about 3 wks, and suddenly, the incline malfunctions. I, too, went through the calibration process (which they should put in the manual, to begin with) w/the Sole folks, but this did not fix the problem. I am wailting on a new console & cables from them [...] My mom bought a [$]treadmill from another store about 4 yrs ago; it hasn't stopped working once, despite regular use. I spend [$] and I'm stuck waiting [...]for replacement parts which I must install myself! I'm starting to question Sole's quality ....

I work out nearly every day and this keeps my cardiovascular system challenged and in great shape. While I prefer a good walk outdoors, the programs in the machine help push me along and I never miss a day to poor weather. I tell all my patients to have a machine like this at home. This is a good buy for someone who runs often. My husband and I use this treadmill everyday. We both run hard for at least 30 minutes. It can take the use. This is as good as it gets for the money... I wanted gym quality and that's what I got.

Bought for wife, I am the outdoor runner. I honestly didnt think this TM would be challenging to me or able to keep up with me. Let me tell you, I havent ran outside for 2 weeks. This is easy to use, sturdy, and I can feel it working. Highly recommended for the money!!!!!

The incline stopped working after raising and lowering 3 times. I purchased the warranty and they ran me through a calibration over the phone but still no luck. Now I am waiting on a box to send my old console back in. I was expecting someone to come out and look at it to fix it.

I have owned this since April 2007. Purchased this so I would not have to pay the price of a gym membership. I paid for the extended 3 yr. warranty for peace of mind. The numbers on the display were becoming unreadable and were fading out. I called the number in the service agreement and they quickly shipped out a new console. Other than that whenever I have it inclined and begin to run there is an annoying clicking sound coming from underneath the running surface. I do not hear it when on 0% incline. Other wise this is a good treadmill and I would recommend along with the extended warranty for peace of mind.

Just very impressed. I had given into the fact that I couldn't afford what I wanted and was worried I'd be disappointed but I really wanted a treadmill at home.

I got the Sole F63 to suppliment my gym workouts at home- I was looking for at 15% incline due to my using 15% at the gym.
The Sole seems like a good quality treadmill however I did not take notice in the store that the deck raises without the handrails so it leaves me kind of stooped over at the full 15%- I had the Sole delivered and assembled by the store and I paid 999 for it on sale.(Delivery and extended warrenty were extra)
I'm glad I made the purchase and I'm sure I will adjust to the incline issue in no time flat.
Really missed a cooldown period when my workout was over but now I know to compensate for that too.

THE F63 PROVIDES A QUALITY WORKOUT. TWO THINGS NOT MENTIONED ABOVE; THE SPEED DISPLAY WILL READ 6.0 MILES PER HOUR. IN ORDER TO FIGURE YOUR PACE YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE THE CONVERSION TO 10 MIN/MI. ALSO THE USERS' MANUAL DOES NOT HAVE WELL WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS, SO ALOT APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS TO PUT IT TOGETHER. OTHERWISE THIS IS A GREAT BUY.
