Dont listen to the people who give this club bad reviews because to me they are lieing. It is worth the money that you pay for it. The first time i took it out i drove 325 yrds with it. Perfect club for anyone out there.

I'm a casual golfer who gets out and plays 18 nearly every weekend in the spring, summer and fall when weather permits. I read all the reviews, couldn't find the driver I had my heart set on with the shaft I wanted, and decided to give this a try. I have the 9.5* head with a stiff shaft and I'm thrilled with the purchase. The incredibly loud noise described by others didn't really bother me at all. It was about the same as my previous driver and even the one before that. If that was a turn off, which it's not, the balls that I hit carrying 300-315 on a death straight path would of washed that annoyance out. It was deadly accurate and easy to hit in my first round using it. The only drawback would be the feel and difficulty in hitting a draw or a fade. If you're skilled enough to be worrying about that then you should probably be using a higher end driver to begin with. For [$]this club easily delivers

I play once a week in the 80s to 90s. This is the only driver I've ever been able to hit consistantly straight. I've been a terrible slicer all my life, and the Sumo 2 has given me a fairly straight drive for the first time in years. I am able to hit the ball 220 to 250 yards and ocasionally further. It's outstanding for me. I own the 10.5 and I am buying a 2nd Sumo 2 today. I like this club!

I just picked up this club along with the nike ignite irons. As far as the sumo is concerned it's a good club. Feels like you're hitting it with a aluminum bat. Club can move in your hands because it's so large. adjusting from a the sumo to an iron can also be challenging. Lastly, I'm note sure how this club is going to hold up. I've probably played 10 times since I bought it and it looks a little beat up already. Actually had to return the first one because it dented on the first round.

I AM A 98-105 PLAYER MOST ROUNDS (ON PAR 70-72). I AM 6'6" AND BIG, BUT I DON'T SWING SUPER HARD. I STRUGGLE WITH GETTING THE CLUB FACE CLOSED AND THE SUMO REALLY HELPS. FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW, MOST MODELS HAVE A SLIGHTLY CLOSED FACE (1 OR 2 DEGREES). I TYPICALLY SLICE A LITTLE ON MY AVERAGE DRIVE AND A TON ON THOSE 3-5 MISHITS PER ROUND. THE CLUB DOES NOT CURE ALL THAT AILS YOUR TEE SHOTS, BUT ITS WORT THE [$] OR SO YOU'LL PAY FOR IT.I EVEN HOOK ONE OR TWO OUT OF 20 OR SO ON THE PRACTICE RANGE. ALSO, IT HAS PROBABLY ADDED 15 YARDS OR SO TO MY DRIVES. IT ADDS THE MOST ON MISHITS.

I bought this club because of all the good reviews i had read on it. people were saying that this is a very accurate club and will almost always go straight. i was amazed. i had always hated pulling out my driver. with this i love pulling it out knowing that i will hit the fairway. when i would always slice it big time. and i mean slice by going into other holes fairways. BIG SLICE. this club cured that from the first time i swung it. my buddy i was with was amazed. and is going to by his own. This club hits straight like a bullet out of a rifle. and it also added about 30+ yards on to my drives. 300 yard drives are no longer a goal, its a reality.

This is by far the best driver that I have ever used... it took a couple months to get used to the huge head and loud noise, but now I am hitting my drives at least 20 yards farther and very rarely do I miss a fairway. I have always struggled with my driving, I tend to slice a lot but now that is a thing of the past with this driver. The tee has become my favorite place on the golf course now.

I demoed this club almost as a joke.. I've heard the sound before and used to think it was awful. But it suprised me alot. I have a driver that i can get 320 out of easily but, i can easily get 50 yards off the fairway... some courses thats ok but, others it can hurt me alot, so, i tried this club as a second driver, took it out on the course..and it was awsome...the sound is not as bad when you are actually hitting it..it was so accurate, this also suprised me becuase even though it was a stiff shaft ( i swing x-stiff ) it was very accurate, a definate must for those who hate losing [$] dollar nike ones.....

After reading all the rave reviews I was eager to hit this driver. I lucked out and a coworker had one he was trying to sell. 10.5 loft and stiff very close to my 9.5 stiff callaway FT-3. Warmed up with my current driver and moved to the Nike I could not hit the Nike with any consistency. Many drives started with upward trajectory but so much top spin they dove to the ground. Pattern was scattered and only one drive hit further than my Fusion. I hit a very high ball and I had a very hard time getting the same trajectory with this club. low driving shots did seem to travel a good distance but the swing I put on these shots felt the same as a great drive with my callaway. Sorry Nike but as much as I really wanted to love this driver I couldn't make it work for me.

After cracking my old Square Two driver last weekend, and pondering all week on what to do, I figured I'd run out to a few golf stores to check on what sales associates would do. All talked highly about Nike and only two said anything about the r7's. Right after buying the club, I ran out to the range with my clubs.

Sure, it didn't sound like the higher-end drivers, but WOW. Out of all my friends I've always hit the furthest. And with less effort, I hit the ball further and straighter than ever. I can't wait to show this baby off to my buddies when they get home from school!

Great GREAT Club. Sounds weird but when you see the results, its really trivial. I had slowed my swing down significantly to fix my slice and was hitting about 220, far from my previous average of about 260-270. I'm a power hitter whose game consists of long drives and then good approach (the mid range is my biggest flaw). Before this driver I had many mid range shots to deal with because of my lower driving distance. Then my friend loaned me his Sasquatch Sumo for a hit or two. I figured I'd see how far I could really crank it so I swung as hard as i could. The first hit i hit with it was on a long moderately downhill par 5 and i hit it just under 370 yds. (now i wish i was kidding cause of course i had to go and buy one and at that time it was 480 lol.) but in a "qualifying" match i recorded a 372 yd drive with it. i have yet to hit a drive under 300 with this thing. i can rip it and not worry about accuracy because it just goes straight. GREAT club.

Absolutely love this club. I had troubles hitting my old driver even 200 yards, switched to this and I've started hitting them 270-300 off the tee. Awkward sound takes a bit getting used to, but for the dramatic change in my game off the tee, it's a very reasonable exchange.

Loud noise at impact is like an aluminum baseball bat and atracts a lot of attention, this is good sense the ball always goes straight. Very acurate. Typically hit about 230 with my 9.5 degree walter hagen club, carry about 240 with this in 8.5 degree and no major hooks or slices

Best driver I have ever owned. I did my research with an independent launch monitor and then, demo day at the range. Straight, long, and consistant. My favorite club in the bag. I've owned Titliest, Taylor Made, Cobra, and other Nike drivers. None compare. Would not trade for any other driver, period. I can handle the unusual sound with the great results I'm getting. It added about 30 to 40 yards to my drives.

The first time that I used the club I could tell that this club stood out from the rest. My balls went staighter and they also went about 290, which is amazing for me. This club has heads turning in a good way, go out and but it.

This club is not worth [$]. It sounds awful when you hit it. If you really want this club buy the circular club.

Best driver I have ever used. I never hit my driver because I could always hit my 3w farther & straighter. I demo'd the sasquatch Sumo yesterday at White Deer Golf Club in Williamsport PA. I had never hit the ball with as much distance & accuracy as I did with this club. I used a 9.5 degree but will order a 8.5 degree. WOW !!

Nike Sumo not what was expected.
By TerryVerified Reviewer from Cleveland, Ohio on 7/9/2007

After spending [$] on this club one should expect to hit a good ball, but that is not the case. On the course, my friends and I have all hit with this club with little success. The ball flight is much shorter than any other club we have all hit--with a flight of slightly left to right (by a draw players normal hit). Very dissapointed.

All I can say about this club is WOW!! I never thought I would hit a driver straight until I used this. Don't listen to others about losing yardage. Average 300 yards with this driver and I am dead middle in the fairway. Club is well worth buying. Would suggest it to anyone having problems hitting their driver.

I have seen many people hit these well. In our Proshop we have noticed that these clubs are excellent for higher handicapers, or those with a less tempo'd swing.

By John from Leominster, MA on 5/26/2007

Age: 53, Shoot anywhere from 90-100 for 18 holes. I recently tried a demo. I was very impressed with the distance and control, although being the first time I swung a golf club this year I kind of sprayed the ball here and there on a few shots. It's truly an amazing club. The head, although large, is light and you don't even have to swing hard to make the ball go far. As already mentioned, it's very forgiving for off-center hits. I can tell you for sure, I never hit the ball so far. I also hit the Callaway square driver and didn't like it nearly as much as I liked the Nike SUM02.

By Corbett H from Rock Hill, SC on 5/10/2007

This club is the absolute bomb. I use to slice the ball like crazy but maybe about 250 out there. Now, with the sumo2, I hit it straight alot more consistantly, and I hit one 350 yards last week. It's amazing.

By John B from Columbia,SC on 4/8/2007

I had a chance to hit a demo at the driving range today and wow. Once you get past the size and the sound of a baseball bat you will add distance. I am an over swinger and I could swing away and straight every time. I will definitely be buying this because not only was it straight it added 50 to 75 yards every time.

Three words: Buy this Club! It goes straight. If you are one of the ten percent of players that likes working your tee shots (on purpose), then this might not be the club for you. But for the rest of us, who just want to be able to hit it straight, buy this club.
